Subhadra Yojana update: 9.2 million women apply, first installment to 2.51 million disbursed

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: More than 9.2 million women have applied for benefits under the Subhadra Yojana, with the Odisha state government already disbursing the first installment to 2.51 million beneficiaries, according to Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida during a media briefing on Wednesday.
Parida stated that women who have applied for the scheme but have not yet received their first installment can expect to do so shortly. “Currently, 9.2 million women have registered for the Subhadra Yojana, and we anticipate that this number will reach 10 million by the end of the week,” she noted.
She reassured beneficiaries who are still awaiting the first installment that the funds will be transferred to their bank accounts by March 8. The delay is due to the online processing of payments. Parida also confirmed that all beneficiaries would receive the second installment on International Women’s Day, March 8.
Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that the four tiers of the Subhadra Yojana will be established soon, ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries receive assistance. She emphasized that all individuals, except for taxpayers, are eligible for this financial support.
