Priyanshu Pal tops Odisha Civil Services Exam 2023; 389 candidates selected

Bhubaneswar, Sept 26: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Examination-2023, bringing cheer to hundreds of aspirants across the state. A total of 389 candidates, including 144 women, have cleared the examination and secured their positions in the merit list.
Leading the results, Priyanshu Pal emerged as the topper, while Ananya Mishra secured the second position. Sovan Pattanaik stood third. Notably, Ananya is the only woman in the top 10 list, making her achievement especially significant.
The complete list of top ten rank holders includes: Priyanshu Pal (1st), Ananya Mishra (2nd), Sovan Pattanaik (3rd), Mirza Faiz Ahmed Quadri (4th), Chinmaya Sahu (5th), Antim Swain (6th), Shailesh Kumar Bhoi (7th), Monommad Nazif Hatif (8th), Chinmaya Kumar Padhi (9th), and Milan Mohapatra (10th).
The examination process involved the Main Written Test held in April–May 2025 followed by the Personality Test in September 2025. OPSC clarified that the selection is provisional, subject to verification of original certificates by the respective appointing authorities.
With nearly 400 officers set to join the Odisha state administration, the recruitment is expected to boost governance and strengthen delivery of public services across the state.
