Winter session of Odisha Assembly to commence on November 26
Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is set to begin on November 26 and will run until December 31, as announced in a notification released on Wednesday.
This session will feature a total of five business days in November and 25 days in December. The Assembly will kick off with the presentation of the First Supplementary Statement of Expenditure for the fiscal year 2024-25 on the opening day, according to the State Assembly Secretariat.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also serves as the Finance Minister, is scheduled to present the Appropriation Bill associated with the First Supplementary Statement on December 5.
This session is expected to address key legislative issues and fiscal matters, providing an opportunity for discussions on government spending and initiatives for the upcoming year. The session will be closely watched as it lays the groundwork for financial planning and development strategies in the state.
