Odisha Government reshuffles IAS officers, assigns new responsibilities

Bhubaneswar, March 18: In a minor reshuffle of IAS officers, the Odisha government has reassigned key responsibilities to three officials, as per a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited. Previously, he served as the Director of Minor Minerals, overseeing the management and regulation of minor mineral resources in the state. Chakravarthy will now take over the role from Shubham Saxena, the outgoing Managing Director of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd.
Shubham Saxena, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Agriculture and Food Production, Odisha. This key position involves policy implementation and monitoring of agricultural initiatives across the state.
Additionally, Samarth Verma, a 2011-batch IAS officer and the Director of Technical Education and Training, has been given the additional charge of Director, Minor Minerals. This move is expected to streamline the management of technical education along with mineral resource governance.
