Four injured in collision with Odisha MLA’s SUV in Khordha district

Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: Four individuals, including an auto-rickshaw driver, were injured in a collision involving the car of Khallikote MLA Purnachandra Sethi near Badapokharia Chhak, under Jankia Police Station in Khordha district on Monday. The accident occurred when the MLA was traveling from Khallikote to Bhubaneswar.

The MLA’s vehicle reportedly collided with the auto-rickshaw from behind, causing injuries to the driver and three passengers. The injured victims were initially taken to the Badapokharia Community Health Centre for first aid before being transferred to the Khordha District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for further treatment. While the driver continues to receive medical care at the DHH, the passengers were discharged after treatment.

Both the MLA’s car and the auto-rickshaw sustained significant damage in the accident. Fortunately, the MLA was unharmed and took swift action to arrange medical assistance for the injured. Jankia Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, rescued the victims, and have initiated an investigation into the cause of the crash.
