Union Minister Jual Oram goes missing from train, found injured in another in MP

Bhubaneswar, May 6: In a startling turn of events, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, who hails from Odisha, was reported missing from a train while en route to Jabalpur from Delhi. The incident occurred during his journey on the Gondwana Express, which he had boarded at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on May 3 (Saturday).

The following morning, on May 4, Oram was found missing from his berth when the train reached Damoh Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh, sparking concern and prompting a frantic search operation by railway and security authorities.

According to reports, Oram got down at Damoh station around 3:45 am, but experienced a sudden drop in blood sugar levels. While attempting to re-board the train as it began moving, he reportedly slipped and sustained injuries. After missing his train, the Minister managed to board the Sampark Kranti Express, which arrived on another platform. He was eventually located at Sihora Road Railway Station—approximately 162 km from Damoh—around 6:55 am in an injured state.

He was given first aid and later taken to Jabalpur. Railway officials confirmed that security arrangements were made upon his arrival, and he is now safe.
