SOA institutes recognized as best in East India for 2025 by Times Now

Bhubaneswar, May 30: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University in Bhubaneswar has added another feather to its cap by bagging the prestigious Times Now Business Excellence Award (East) 2025.

The faculties of engineering and technology, law, and business management were selected as the top institutions in the eastern region for their outstanding contributions to education and professional excellence.

The award was conferred on three premier SOA institutes — the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), and Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS).

In addition, five departments from the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital — the faculty of medicine under SOA — were recognised as the best in Odisha. These include the departments of Oncology, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Urology, Neurology, and Nephrology.

The awards were presented recently at a grand ceremony held in Kolkata. Bollywood actor Nimrat Kaur handed over the honours in the presence of noted personalities, including actor Parambrata Chatterjee, filmmaker Nandita Roy, and Times Network Digital MD Puja Shetty.

SOA's Director of Corporate Relations Ripti Ranjan Dash and PRO Subhadarshini Mishra received the awards. Notably, ITER and SNIL were earlier ranked 26th and 9th nationally by NIRF in 2024.
