Registration begins April 17 for CM’s grievance hearing in Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar, April 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will conduct a public grievance hearing in Sambalpur on April 21, aiming to bring governance closer to the people of western Odisha. The registration for the event will begin at 11 am on April 17, according to a public notice issued by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
Citizens can register for the session through the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell portal or the official mobile application. A maximum of 1,000 applicants will be allowed to meet the Chief Minister in person during the session, which is scheduled to begin at 8 am.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari earlier informed the media that more than 10 ministers, including Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and senior administrative officials, are expected to be present to ensure swift resolution of complaints and issues raised by the public.
The Sambalpur session is part of a broader initiative to decentralize grievance redressal mechanisms. Similar hearings are also planned in Berhampur. After assuming office, CM Majhi revived the public grievance hearing system, which had remained discontinued since 2008, and resumed it at his residence in Bhubaneswar from July 1, 2024.
