Ratna Bhandar SOPs under final review, release imminent: Law Minister

Bhubaneswar, July 12: Justice Biswanath Rath-led high-level committee's SOP for Ratna Bhandar's opening to be public soon, assures Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan has announced that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) recommended by the high-level committee, headed by Justice Biswanath Rath, for the reopening of Ratna Bhandar will be disclosed to the public within the next two days. He mentioned that the SOPs are currently under scrutiny and will be finalized by the government by Saturday.
"We are carefully examining the SOPs recommended by the high-level committee, which includes analyzing various legal aspects. We expect to provide clarity on this matter shortly," Harichandan said.
Regarding the Adap Pahandi mishap, he noted that the government has initiated primary actions since Thursday, with ongoing investigations in progress. Further actions will be taken based on the findings, he added.
Justice Biswanath Rath, heading the Ratna Bhandar committee of the Orissa High Court, recommended the treasury's reopening on July 14, a proposal also endorsed by the temple management committee. The 16-member high-level committee, in its inaugural meeting on July 9, formulated the SOP and proposed July 14 as the reopening date for the treasury.
