District squads formed for Plus 2 exams to curb malpractice in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: In order to combat examination malpractice, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha will establish district-level squads for the upcoming Plus 2 Examination-2025.
CHSE Controller of Examination Prasanta Kumar Parida announced this initiative on Thursday, stating that each of the state's 30 districts will have a dedicated squad aimed at preventing cheating during the exams.
Last year, CHSE piloted this district-level squad in three southern districts—Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangpur—and found the initiative effective. Based on this success, the decision has been made to implement similar squads across all districts this year.
Dr. Parida noted that the previous state-level squad often struggled to cover many areas during the annual examination. The experience gained from the districts where the squads were deployed last year proved to be beneficial.
According to sources, larger districts will have two squads, while smaller districts will have one. The CHSE will cover all related expenses.
Additionally, Dr. Parida emphasized that this year, candidates’ relatives will not be involved in the examination process. The Plus 2 Examination for Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational courses is set to take place from February 18 to March 27, 2025.
