Minor arrested for brutal beheading of man over love dispute in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Aug 29: n a shocking incident in Bhubaneswar's Khandagiri area, a minor allegedly beheaded a man after the victim opposed his one-sided affection. The accused, a Plus II student, targeted Jaga Mallick, the uncle of the girl he was infatuated with, using a sword while Jaga was riding home on his bike.
The horrifying event took place in the Suka Vihar area near Jagannath Nagar, within Khandagiri police jurisdiction. Reports indicate that the minor, deeply infatuated with Mallick's niece, had been warned to cease his advances. However, he chose to act violently against Jaga, who opposed the relationship.
Late Wednesday night, the accused lay in wait with a sword and attacked Jaga as he was on his way home, decapitating him. Jaga died instantly. The Khandagiri police were alerted and promptly arrived at the scene, sending the body to Capital Hospital for post-mortem.
After an extensive search, the accused has been apprehended and is under interrogation. Authorities are currently verifying his age and educational records to confirm his status as a minor.
