IBCS organizes national conference on digital transformation and sustainable innovation

Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: The Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), faculty of management sciences under SOA Deemed to be University, recently hosted a day-long national conference on “Digital Transformation and Sustainable Innovation”, highlighting the urgent need to align digital advancements with sustainable, real-world solutions across multiple sectors.

Eminent speakers at the conference emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and practical implementation of academic knowledge to foster inclusive and impactful societal development. The discussions underlined how digital tools, when strategically integrated with innovation in business, healthcare, agriculture, law, and governance, can address emerging global challenges.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries including Prof. Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SOA, Prof. (Dr.) Sanghamitra Mishra, Dean of IMS & SUM Hospital, Prof. Ayasa Kanta Mohanty, Dean of IBCS, Prof. Enketeswara Subudhi, and Prof. Manoranjan Dash, Associate Dean of IBCS and Organising Convenor.

Prof. Dash drew a unique parallel between digital adaptability and the avatars of Lord Vishnu, while Prof. Subudhi conducted an insightful session on research proposal writing for securing grants.

The conference was attended by academicians, researchers, and professionals, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Preeti Y. Shadangi, Conference Coordinator.
