IMFA appoints Dr. B.K. Mishra as Non-Executive Chairman following N.R. Mohanty’s retirement

Bhubaneswar, July 31: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India’s leading producer of ferro alloys, has appointed Dr. B.K. Mishra as its new Non-Executive Chairman. The announcement comes following the retirement of Padma Shri awardee N.R. Mohanty, who stepped down after successfully completing his term.

Dr. Mishra, a distinguished metallurgical engineer, holds a degree from NIT Rourkela and a PhD from the University of Utah, USA. He has served as a faculty member at IIT Kanpur and held prominent academic positions, including serving as the founding Director of IIT Goa.

In March 2024, he joined the IMFA Board as an Independent Director. Recognized for his outstanding contributions to metallurgy, material science, and industrial R&D, he is a recipient of several accolades, including the prestigious IEEE IAS Global Lifetime Achievement Award.
