Bhubaneswar-Puri road to undergo major six-lane upgrade

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10: The Odisha government has approved the development of a six-lane, access-controlled highway along with two-lane service roads on both sides for the Bhubaneswar-Puri stretch of NH-316.

Additionally, the Barbil-Chandikhole road will also be upgraded to a six-lane access-controlled highway with two-lane service roads on each side.

In a letter to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Regional Officer, the Works Department of Odisha has requested the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for these projects. Officials have been instructed to present the DPR to the Odisha Chief Secretary for the finalization of alignment and controlled access points.
