Heavy rainfall expected in five Odisha districts tomorrow
Bhubaneswar, Aug 10: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for five districts in Odisha tomorrow, August 11. The predicted rainfall is expected to range from 7 to 11 cm in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Keonjhar.
In addition to the heavy rainfall, thunderstorms with lightning are likely in one or two locations across Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Dhenkanal.
Following this period of intense weather, there will be a brief respite from heavy rainfall across Odisha for three days, starting August 12.
After the break, the regional weather office anticipates a resurgence of heavy rain in North Odisha, with some districts potentially experiencing significant downpours on August 15 and 16. During this time, localized areas may see rainfall of 7 to 11 cm.
