Bhubaneswar, Sept 4: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University has once again reaffirmed its stature as a premier academic and research institution, securing the 15th rank among universities in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 announced by the Ministry of Education on Thursday.

The rankings, released in New Delhi by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the presence of Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar, placed SOA at 25th in the overall category. Significantly, SOA has consistently remained within the top 25 since the inception of NIRF rankings in 2016, and on eight occasions, it has figured among the top 20 universities nationwide.

This year, SOA improved its standing in medical sciences, moving from 21st to 15th, while in dental sciences it retained its 9th position. In engineering, the university climbed four places to secure 22nd, and in law, it was ranked 10th. In the research category, SOA stood at 49th, gaining one place from last year.

The university’s Faculties of Dental Sciences and Law continue to rank among India’s top 10 institutions, while its NAAC A++ accreditation in 2022 further underscores its academic excellence.

Founder President Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak expressed delight at the achievement, congratulating faculty and researchers for their contributions. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda urged the SOA fraternity to work harder to achieve greater milestones.

Established in 2007 as a Deemed to be University, SOA today offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral programs in disciplines including engineering, medicine, dental sciences, law, biotechnology, agriculture, management, and hospitality. With 27 thrust areas of research, 18 field centers, and 60 advanced laboratories, the institution continues to nurture professionals equipped for global challenges.
