IMD predicts foggy mornings and dip in night temperatures across Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has predicted the occurrence of dense fog across several parts of Odisha over the next 24 hours.
Following the subsidence of rain caused by a low-pressure system, foggy mornings are expected to envelop many areas of the state.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in six districts: Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Koraput. People in these regions are advised to exercise caution during early morning travel as visibility may be significantly reduced.
Additionally, foggy conditions have already been reported in parts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, and Rayagada, further emphasizing the need for safe commuting practices.
In tandem with the fog, a drop in nighttime temperatures by 2°C to 4°C has been forecast, signaling the return of cold wave conditions in the state.
