Subhadra Yojana: Fourth phase funds to be disbursed on December 25

Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: Efforts are in full swing to release the first installment of funds under the fourth phase of the Subhadra Yojana, set for disbursement on December 25.
This prominent scheme, focused on empowering women financially, has already benefitted over 80 lakh women, each receiving ₹5,000 in the initial three phases.
By December 1, a total of 1,05,36,612 applications were received, and the verification process is being accelerated to include both fresh applicants and those previously excluded. The finalized list of eligible and ineligible beneficiaries will be displayed at block, urban, and municipal levels by December 6, followed by a seven-day grievance period.
A high-level review meeting, led by Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, assessed the progress of application verification. Key officials, including Shubha Sarma, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, and district and municipal representatives, participated in the virtual discussion.
Field teams such as Anganwadi workers and Bank Mitras are actively assisting beneficiaries, addressing fund transfer issues, and spreading awareness. Over 8.43 lakh applicants, including NFSA and non-NFSA beneficiaries, still need to complete their biometric e-KYC, which is mandatory for OTP-based submissions.
To streamline the process, help desks have been set up for grievance resolution, with complaints logged on the Subhadra portal. Beneficiaries can also use the portal to complete e-KYC, access information, and opt out if needed. As of now, 18,735 individuals have chosen not to avail of the scheme benefits.
The government is ensuring no fees are charged for e-KYC and remains committed to a transparent and efficient fund disbursement process.
