SOA President releases ‘Decoding Karma—From Birth to Rebirth’

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: “Who am I? Where have I come from? What happens after death?”—though deeply philosophical, these questions have been the subject of human curiosity for centuries. Former NIT Rourkela professor and author Prof. (Dr.) Kanhu Charan Patra has attempted to unravel these mysteries in his latest book Decoding Karma—From Birth to Rebirth, released in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

The book was unveiled by Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, in the presence of eminent academicians and intellectuals. Published by Gyanajuga Publications, the book is structured into four sections, delving into the concepts of Karma and Mokhya while also exploring broader philosophical themes such as the purpose of life, ethical action, and the spiritual journey from birth to rebirth.

Speaking at the launch, Prof. Patra said the work is meant to inspire self-inquiry and guide readers toward meaningful living. The event was attended by Prof. Damodar Acharya, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Mahapatra, Prof. P.K. Patra, Prof. P.K. Parhi, Dr. Subhendu Patnayak, Ashok Basa, and editor Panchanan Rout, who lauded the book’s relevance.
