Odisha's Subhadra Yojana: Three phases of financial aid planned for 2025

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: In a significant announcement on Monday, Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida declared that 2025 will focus on the Subhadra fund transfer scheme, which will see financial aid disbursed three times throughout the year.
The fourth phase of the initial installment is set to be released before March 8, with the second installment scheduled to be distributed in two parts on International Women’s Day and Raksha Bandhan.
Parida, who oversees the Women and Child Development portfolio, noted that a field survey is anticipated to be finalized by December 30. She emphasized the importance of accurately identifying beneficiaries, stating that a clearer understanding will emerge in the first week of January, ensuring that no eligible individuals are overlooked.
Regarding delays in fund disbursement, she explained that the government is meticulously compiling data to understand the scheme’s effectiveness. The initial installment of Rs 5,000 has already been credited to approximately 80 lakh beneficiaries through Aadhaar-enabled accounts. The government aims to cover a total of one crore beneficiaries under the Subhadra scheme.
