Odisha to release fourth phase funds for Subhadra Yojana after January 15

Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The Odisha government is expected to release the fourth phase of the first installment for women beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana after January 15. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced this information on Saturday, stating that the application verification process, originally set to conclude on December 30, has been extended until January 15.
Parida emphasized that once the verification is complete, the government will proceed with the disbursement of funds to eligible beneficiaries. To facilitate this process, Anganwadi workers are conducting door-to-door surveys to identify qualified applicants. The Deputy Chief Minister assured that no eligible beneficiary would be excluded from receiving benefits under the scheme.
The original deadline for beneficiaries to receive the first installment was March 8. However, those applying after this date will still receive their funds. Registration will remain open until every eligible woman in the villages has applied, according to Parida.
It is important to note that the state government had initially set March 31 as the final date for registration under the Subhadra Yojana. With the extension, eligible women beneficiaries can potentially receive two installments totaling ₹10,000 for the fiscal year 2024-25 if they apply by March 31.
To date, over 1.06 crore women have registered for the Subhadra scheme, with the government having disbursed the first installment of ₹5,000 to more than 80 lakh women across three phases.
