Odisha extends morning classes amid sweltering heat

Bhubaneswar, June 20: The Odisha government has decided to extend morning classes in all government, government-aided, and private schools from class I to XII until Friday due to the current hot and humid weather conditions prevailing across the state.

The decision was communicated by the Information and Public Relations department through a press release issued on behalf of the School and Mass Education department.

According to the press release, morning classes will be conducted on June 21 from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Normal classes will resume from June 22 onwards.

Earlier, the government had initially announced morning classes for three days and instructed district Collectors to adjust timings or declare holidays based on local weather conditions.
