Tata Steel's Joda East Iron Mine wins gold award for quality excellence at FICCI event
Bhubaneswar, Aug 4: Tata Steel's Joda East Iron Mine was awarded the Gold Award for Excellence in the Quality System under the "Innovative Quality System for Excellence" category at the 10th Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Awards held on Tuesday in New Delhi.
The esteemed award was presented by Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Sanjit Kumar Adhya, Head of Improvement (OMQ) at Tata Steel, and Krishna Mohan, Head of Equipment Maintenance at Joda East Iron Mine, accepted the award on behalf of Tata Steel.
The award recognized Joda East Iron Mine's robust quality systems, which include a customer-centric quality policy, an online document control system, the adoption of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles for ongoing improvement, and full employee engagement in quality initiatives.
The FICCI conference offered a platform for industry experts to exchange best practices and innovative solutions that drive excellence in quality systems and enhance organizational performance.
