New dawn in Odisha: BJP's electoral success brings hope for change
Bhubaneswar, June 5: After securing a resounding victory in Odisha's 2024 elections, the BJP is now poised for government formation, buoyed by the overwhelming support of the people.
Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal expressed gratitude to the voters, highlighting their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their desire for change in the state's governance.
Samal emphasized that the election represented a collective effort by the people to combat corruption and restore Odia pride, culture, and tradition. He affirmed the BJP's commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the electorate, emphasizing the rejection of a non-Odia Chief Minister in favor of the BJP.
Regarding the selection of the Chief Minister candidate, Samal stated that the party's Parliamentary Board would make a decision within the next few days. He reiterated Prime Minister Modi's criteria for the CM selection, emphasizing the importance of an Odia leader who upholds the state's culture and traditions.
Samal also announced the forthcoming implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha, replacing the existing BSKY scheme. He assured that all Odias, including those residing outside the state, would benefit from the scheme, which offers comprehensive healthcare coverage without limitations.
Furthermore, Samal pledged that the BJP would swiftly initiate various commitments after the oath-taking ceremony, including addressing issues such as the Ratna Bhandar, Srimandir gates, and paddy MSP.
