Light rain and fog expected in Odisha over next two days

Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that Odisha is expected to experience fog and light rain over the next two days. Light rainfall is forecasted for December 4 in parts of Koraput, Rayagada, and Malkangiri, while on December 5, Koraput and Malkangiri are likely to see similar weather conditions. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is anticipated in Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, and Keonjhar districts during this period.

In the past 24 hours, moderate fog was reported in Phulbani, with shallow fog noted in Bhawanipatna and Keonjhar. Some areas in South Interior Odisha experienced light to moderate rainfall, with heavier showers recorded in Koraput district. Minimum temperatures have noticeably dropped in some areas of North Interior Odisha.

While no significant changes in nighttime temperatures are expected over the next two days, a decline of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius is predicted across the state in the following three days. Light to moderate rain is also expected to resume on December 8 in parts of South Interior Odisha, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and Deogarh. The cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack may see a partly cloudy sky for the next week.
