Odisha's Subhadra Yojana: 3.5 million beneficiaries to receive payments tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: The Odisha government is set to distribute the second phase of the first installment of payments under the Subhadra Yojana to 3.5 million beneficiaries on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that those eligible and cleared by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will receive their payments by tomorrow.

Parida, who also oversees the Women and Child Development department, stated, “The Chief Minister will credit the second phase of the first installment into the beneficiaries' accounts before 12 pm tomorrow.” She highlighted that over 10 million women have registered for the Subhadra Yojana so far.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, September 17, the Subhadra Yojana aims to provide financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually to eligible women aged between 21 and 60. This initiative is designed to empower women and enhance their financial independence in the state.
