Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan foresees electoral shift amidst voter discontent in Odisha
Samablpur, May 13: Union Minister and BJP candidate from Sambalpur, Dharmendra Pradhan, stressed the inevitability of change in Odisha, citing widespread discontent with the current Biju Janata Dal administration.
Voting is currently underway in the Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Berhampur Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha.
Pradhan urged the people of Odisha to participate in the ongoing first phase of Assembly elections, highlighting the palpable enthusiasm among voters. He called for votes to usher in a transformative shift, citing the populace's dissatisfaction over the past 24 years of governance failure under the current regime.
Based on reports from the four Lok Sabha constituencies and 28 Vidhan Sabha seats, Pradhan claimed that the BJP is making significant strides forward.
Enumerating the grievances of the populace, Pradhan pointed to issues such as the lack of clean drinking water, inadequate irrigation facilities, teacher shortages in schools, and the absence of medical personnel in government hospitals. He noted the significant migration of a third of the population in search of employment opportunities, stressing the distress faced by women and tribal communities. Pradhan emphasized the observable public anger, signaling an imminent change in Odisha's governance.
