Odisha govt appoints 282 new employees, aims for transparency and service

Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi addressed the newly appointed officers and employees from various departments during a recruitment ceremony at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Center, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of Odisha. He highlighted the crucial role these officials will play in ensuring that government initiatives and schemes effectively reach every corner of the state.

A total of 282 new appointments have been made across three key departments: the Energy Department, the Health and Family Welfare Department, and the Odisha Mining Corporation under the Steel and Mines Department. This includes 79 assistant executive engineers in the Energy Department, 31 junior clerk typists in the Health Department, 19 Ayurveda lecturers, and 54 junior assistants in the University of Health Sciences. Additionally, nine junior pharmacists and 30 electricians have also been appointed.

Congratulating the new employees, Chief Minister Majhi urged them to leverage their skills and dedication in their roles. He noted that their appointment represents not just a government job, but a significant opportunity to serve the public directly. He encouraged them to embrace a “religion of humanity” and assured them that the new government aims to revolutionize Odisha by ensuring transparency across all departments. The Chief Minister expressed his hope that these efforts would uplift marginalized communities, including tribals and Dalits, integrating them into the societal mainstream.
