Bhubaneswar, March 1: In a major boost to Odisha’s air connectivity, IndiGo has launched direct daily flight services between Jharsuguda and Mumbai, linking the industrial hub of western Odisha with India’s financial capital. The inaugural flight landed at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda on Saturday afternoon, marking a new milestone in regional air travel.
As per the airline’s schedule, the flight departs from Mumbai at 10:55 AM and reaches Jharsuguda at 1:00 PM. The return flight takes off from Jharsuguda at 2:00 PM, arriving in Mumbai at 4:15 PM. These daily services will enhance accessibility for business and leisure travelers alike.
The route is being operated by IndiGo’s Airbus A320 aircraft, which can accommodate around 180 passengers. While the airline has set the current schedule, adjustments may be made in the future.
With this addition, Jharsuguda now enjoys air connectivity to key cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
