IMD predicts dense fog and rising temperatures in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog in several parts of Odisha over the next two days. Issuing a yellow warning, the IMD stated that dense fog is likely to occur in a few areas of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda, and Cuttack districts on January 25 and 26.

According to a weather bulletin from the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, shallow to moderate fog is expected during the early morning hours in parts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda, and Cuttack, as well as in some areas of Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal on both days.

Meanwhile, Odisha is expected to remain dry, with no significant rainfall predicted until January 30. The state will experience clear skies and an extended dry spell during this period.

The IMD also forecast a gradual rise in minimum temperatures, with night temperatures likely to increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next three days. However, no major changes in temperature are anticipated in the following days.
