Odisha plans iconic 34-storey IT Tower in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, April 28: In a major boost to Odisha’s growing reputation as an emerging technology hub, the state government is planning to construct a 34-storey IT Tower in Satya Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Spread across six acres, the ambitious project will feature three levels of basement parking, a stunning observation deck, and a massive built-up area of 1.90 lakh square meters.
The Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation (OBCC) Ltd has been entrusted with executing the project, and it has already initiated the tendering process. According to reports, the tower will be developed on a turnkey basis, meaning a single contractor will oversee the design, construction, and delivery.
OBCC Managing Director Sameer Hota said that the demand for modern, ready-to-use office spaces has surged due to Odisha’s expanding startup ecosystem and entrepreneurial growth. Another senior official emphasized that locations like Satya Nagar, Patia, Saheed Nagar, Nayapalli, and Rasulgarh are highly preferred for office spaces.
Designed with future needs in mind, the IT Tower will focus on functionality, flexibility, and sustainability, and will have the capacity to house over 8,000 professionals once completed.
