Woman kills husband, buries body in forest after domestic dispute in Jajpur

Bhubaneswar, March 3: In a shocking case from Sukinda, a woman allegedly murdered her husband following a heated argument and buried his body in a nearby forest. The accused, Dumari Munda of Dubikhal village under Sansailo Panchayat, later surrendered at Sukinda police station, confessing to the crime.
According to reports, Dumari Munda killed her husband, Babuli Munda, after a violent altercation. The couple, married for seven years, frequently quarreled over domestic issues. Babuli, originally from Balasore, had moved to Dubikhal to live with Dumari’s family.
On Thursday, while Dumari’s parents were away, Babuli, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, physically assaulted and verbally abused her. Enraged, Dumari attacked him with a stick, killing him on the spot. She kept the body inside the house until evening, when her parents returned. In an attempt to hide the crime, they buried the body in a nearby forest.
After villagers pressured them, Dumari surrendered to the police on Sunday. Authorities exhumed the body on Monday for postmortem, and further investigations are ongoing.
