SSMSV to implement advanced security protocols at Puri's temples

Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: The Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshay Bahini (SSMSV) has been tasked with the complete security of the Puri Srimandir and its surrounding sensitive areas, which include significant sites such as the Sri Gundicha Temple, the Parikrama Project, the Mausi Maa Temple, Bada Danda, Sri Marg, and Jagannath Vihar.

To effectively counter armed threats, SSMSV personnel will participate in regular drills supervised by the National Security Guard (NSG). Additionally, the security force will be trained to handle emergencies, including potential terrorist attacks, with specific instruction in bomb detection and disposal.

To ensure comprehensive security for the Shree Jagannath Temple and its vicinity, SSMSV will be equipped with modern technical equipment. Their objectives include neutralizing any threats to the temple and other vital locations, collaborating with the NSG for ongoing drills, managing crises related to terrorism and extremism, and developing anti-sabotage capabilities. This will involve deploying trained personnel for effective access control and safety checks at the temple and its surrounding areas.
