Snake rescued from Odisha Forest Minister's quarters in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: A five-foot-long snake was rescued on Saturday from the government quarters of Odisha’s Forest and Environment Minister, Ganesh R. Singhkhuntia, in the Unit-6 area of Bhubaneswar. The snake was initially spotted by staff members while renovation work was underway in the building.
Upon noticing the large reptile near the door, the staff became alarmed and promptly contacted the Snake Helpline for assistance.
Responding to the call, a team from Snake Helpline, including General Secretary Suvendu Mallik, quickly arrived at the location to rescue the snake. The snake, identified as a harmless rat snake, was safely captured and later released into its natural habitat.
