Pattapur Police Station awarded as India’s second-best by Amit Shah

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: The All India DGP/IGP Conference-2024 began today at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah honored Pattapur Police Station in Odisha's Ganjam district as the second-best police station in the country.
Odisha DGP YB Khurania, who attended the conference, expressed pride in this recognition for the state’s police force. He highlighted the infrastructure improvements undertaken at the station under his leadership and extended his congratulations to the state and district police, including Ganjam SP Suvendu Kumar Patra.
The Union Home Ministry annually evaluates police stations across India for the Best Police Station Award, based on parameters such as crime management, investigation quality, case resolution efficiency, and public service delivery. Pattapur Police Station stood out in these aspects, earning the accolade.
Inspector-in-Charge Sabyasachi Malla of Pattapur Police Station accepted the award and citation from the Union Home Minister during the event, marking a significant achievement for Odisha Police.
