Odisha’s industrial ambitions: CM Majhi to showcase opportunities in Mumbai
New Delhi, Oct 15: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Mumbai starting October 18, as part of the preparations for the 'Utkarsh Odisha' business summit scheduled for January 28 and 29.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will participate in a series of roadshows aimed at establishing partnerships and attracting investments, highlighting the opportunities and potential within Odisha. Additionally, he plans to engage in discussions with prominent investors about the proposed establishment of a large steel plant in Keonjhar.
This initiative aligns with the state's broader goal of promoting industrial growth and creating diverse investment opportunities. Earlier this month, on October 2, Majhi visited Delhi, where he met with ambassadors, high commissioners, trade commissioners, and senior diplomats from 34 countries to promote Odisha's investment summit.
He also held direct meetings with representatives from various industry bodies, such as FICCI and CII, encouraging them to participate in the ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.’
The government aims to attract investments of Rs 5 lakh crore over the next five years, with the summit's success seen as a pivotal step toward transforming Odisha into a prosperous and developed state by 2036 and 2047, respectively.
