Odisha Govt to present report card to 1 crore families as it completes one year in office

Bhubaneswar, May 17: The BJP-led government in Odisha is set to mark its first year in office on June 12 by reaching out to nearly 1 crore families across the state with a detailed report of its achievements and progress. The initiative, part of a week-long public outreach campaign, aims to highlight the government’s performance and strengthen its connection with the people.

“This is not a celebration but an exercise in transparency and accountability,” said Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari during a press briefing on Friday. “Just like students show their report cards to parents, we will show the people what we have done in the past year.”

He added that 11 out of 21 key poll promises have already been fulfilled — including the Rs 800/quintal input subsidy, Subhadra Yojana, and implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana — with the rest on track for completion within the next year.

Pujari also mentioned that the Chief Minister’s Office is in touch with the Prime Minister’s Office and Union Home Minister’s Office to invite PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to the anniversary events. Activities will take place from June 12 to 18 at the state, district, block, and panchayat levels.
