Odisha CM to visit Jharkhand ahead of Assembly elections

Bhubaneswar, Sept 28: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a two-day trip to Jharkhand ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. Scheduled for September 30 and October 1, Majhi will participate in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'Parivartan Yatra' while visiting various locations in Jharkhand.

As a prominent tribal leader, Majhi's itinerary includes a visit to Jagannathpur in the West Singhbhum district on the first day. On the following day, he will head to Kolhan in Chaibasa. This visit holds particular importance, as over 100,000 Odia-speaking residents live in these areas, and their votes are anticipated to significantly influence the election outcome.

During his trip, the Chief Minister plans to engage with local Odia-speaking communities, addressing concerns related to education and healthcare. The elections for Jharkhand's 81-member Assembly are scheduled for later this year.
