Odisha CM leads high-level delegation to Singapore to attract global investments

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi set off for a four-day trip to Singapore on Saturday to promote foreign investment in Odisha ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January.

The CM is leading a high-powered delegation for this international outreach initiative, which coincides with the annual Bali Jatra—a festival celebrating Odisha's historical maritime trade with Southeast Asia, including regions like Bali, Java, and Sumatra. During his visit, Majhi is expected to participate in an Investors' Meet and engage with executives of prominent Singapore-based companies.

Before his departure, Majhi highlighted that the goal of the trip is to position Odisha as a leading investment destination. He emphasized, "Odisha is fully prepared to attract investments. When global investors look to India, Odisha will be their top choice. We aim to discuss the state's resources, skilled workforce, and industrial policies with business leaders."

The delegation will also host a roadshow titled "Business Opportunities in Odisha." Majhi noted Singapore's strength in sectors such as chemicals, green energy, logistics, financial services, food processing, and semiconductors. He stressed that the Odisha team will engage with top industry figures to explore potential investment collaborations.
