Naveen accuses former Kendrapara MP of betrayal and neglect

Bhubaneswar, May 27: Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik delivered scathing remarks on Monday, targeting former Kendrapara Lok Sabha MP Baijayant Panda without explicitly mentioning his name.
Addressing a public gathering, the BJD President referenced the individual who held the Kendrapara MP position for a decade, accusing him of betrayal towards both himself and the constituency's populace, allegedly for personal gain. Patnaik urged the electorate in Kendrapara to make informed choices during the concurrent elections by voting for candidates symbolized by double conches.
During his campaign in Kendrapara, the Chief Minister underscored his commitment to the region's development. Senior BJD leader and prominent campaigner Kartik Pandian elaborated on Patnaik's endeavors, particularly highlighting efforts towards establishing the world's largest steel plant of Nippon Steel in Kendrapara. Pandian recounted Patnaik's efforts, including travel to Japan to facilitate the establishment of this monumental steel plant.
In a direct rebuke to the former Kendrapara MP, Pandian questioned the financial gains of the individual's private company during his tenure, alleging preferential treatment within the parliamentary Finance Committee. Pandian further criticized the former MP for neglecting Kendrapara's development.
Additionally, Pandian accused the former MP of spreading rumors regarding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's health, particularly through a private television channel owned by the individual, after he was not appointed as chairman of the Finance Committee of the Parliament. These alleged rumors were purportedly circulated in Delhi, according to Pandian's assertions.
