National seminar at SOA on Dec 8 to address climate change and future resilience
Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: A one-day conclave focusing on the impact of climate change and its future challenges will be held at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) in Bhubaneswar on December 8. Experts, environmental activists, business leaders, and community advocates are set to participate in the event.
The National Seminar on Climate Change: Prospects and Challenges is being jointly organized by SOA and the Ever Green Forum, a social organization dedicated to environmental protection, wildlife conservation, and the promotion of science and technology.
“The seminar aims to address pressing climate issues and explore pathways toward a sustainable and resilient future,” said Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA.
Dr. Prakash Chandra Jena, Founder-President of Ever Green Forum and the seminar’s convenor, noted that discussions would cover diverse sub-themes, including climate science, environmental impact, food security, water resources, clean energy, sustainable development, and human health.
Key speakers include Dr. R. Krishnan, Director of IITM Pune; Dr. Nabansu Chattopadhyay, President of ISAM; and Prof. Uma Charan Mohanty, Distinguished Professor at SOA, among others.
