Entries invited for SOA Yuva Sahitya Puraskar 2025, last date October 7

Bhubaneswar, Sept 10: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University has announced the institution of the SOA Yuva Sahitya Puraskar, a new literary award introduced from this year to recognize and encourage young talent in Odia literature. The award aims to honour exceptional contributions across various genres including poetry, fiction, drama, and literary criticism.

The award carries a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, along with a citation and a traditional shawl. Through this initiative, SOA University seeks to celebrate the creativity of promising young writers and provide a platform to nurture the future voices of Odia literature.

For the 2025 edition of the award, applications are invited from Odia authors aged 40 years or below as of January 1, 2025. Submissions can be made either by the writers themselves or through their publishers. Each entry must include two copies of the submitted book, a self-attested copy of valid proof of date of birth such as Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, or driving license. In case of entries submitted by publishers, an affidavit confirming the author’s age is mandatory.
