Ekamra Utsav Food Festival: A culinary paradise awaits in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Jan 10: The Ekamra Utsav Food Festival has emerged as the centerpiece of celebrations, making the experience of dining at luxury hotels accessible to the public. Food enthusiasts from Bhubaneswar and across Odisha are flocking to the festival to indulge in a diverse range of mouth-watering dishes at reasonable prices. Esteemed hotels, cafes, and restaurants are presenting a rich array of national, international, and traditional cuisines, turning the event into a haven for food lovers.
The festival showcases a plethora of offerings, including Odia specialties, popular North and South Indian dishes, and international flavors. Non-vegetarian favorites such as Chingudi Chop, Chicken Lollipop, Mutton Chop, Hilsa Fish Jhal, Tandoor Pomfret, and Bamboo Biryani are among the highlights. Vegetarians can delight in options like Lasooni Paneer, Hyderabadi Biryani, Chole Bhature, and Paneer Kurkure, while desserts like Baked Rasagola, Malpua, and Rasmalai add a sweet finish. Refreshing drinks, including Masala Tea, mocktails, and Fresh Lime Soda, complement the feast, with food trucks offering quick and flavorful bites.
Local delicacies such as Baripada Mudhi Mutton, Chakuli Pitha with Mutton Curry, and Pahala Rasagola are highly sought after, showcasing Odisha’s rich culinary heritage. Ganeswar Sethi, a representative of a prominent restaurant stall, noted, "While visitors enjoy starter items, the traditional dishes have captivated many."

"The food festival allows us to savor popular restaurant dishes at affordable prices, making it a great outing with friends and family," remarked visitor Subasish Barik.
Held in conjunction with the larger Ekamra Utsav for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, the festival includes events like Park Utsav across five BDA parks and Ekamra Walks. The city is adorned with stunning decorations, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere. The food festival will continue to welcome guests daily until January 16.
