BJB Friends to combine tradition and service at annual meet on December 15

Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: The annual gathering of BJB College Alumni Association, BJB Friends, is scheduled to take place on December 15, 2024. The event, a grand celebration of camaraderie and heritage, will begin with a torch procession starting from Barunei Hills. The procession will culminate on the BJB College campus, where participants will pay tribute to Bakshi Jagabandhu by garlanding his statue.
The occasion will see the presence of notable alumni, including Prithiraj Harichandan, Cabinet Minister of Odisha, and T.K. Singh, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Renowned personalities like Ravi Shankar have also confirmed their participation and will be honored by the association.
In addition, outstanding students of BJB College and winners of the quiz competition held on November 29 at Unit 1 Government High School will be felicitated during the Bandhu Milani Sabha. The event will feature vibrant cultural performances by the students.
As part of its tradition of community service, BJB Friends has planned activities like blood donation and tree plantation drives this year. A large number of alumni and dignitaries are expected to join, with all members encouraged to participate in the celebrations.
