Union Home Minister Amit Shah lambasts BJD, Naveen Patnaik in Sorada rally

Bhubaneswar, May 15: With just a few days remaining until the second phase of polls in Odisha, the BJP is intensifying its campaign efforts, leaving no stone unturned in criticizing the BJD and CM Naveen Patnaik. Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined the chorus, taking aim at the BJD supremo and CM Naveen Patnaik during a massive rally in Sorada, Ganjam district, on Wednesday.

Shah, addressing the crowd, highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in reinstating Odia pride. From showcasing the Konark Sun Temple wheel at the G20 meeting to appointing Droupadi Murmu as the President of India and commemorating the Paika rebellion with a stamp and coin release, PM Modi has dedicated himself to Odisha's welfare. Shah emphasized Modi's track record over the past decade and his vision for the nation's development over the next 25 years.

During his speech in Sorada, Shah criticized the Congress for delaying the Ram Mandir issue for 70 years, contrasting it with PM Modi's swift action in conducting the Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurating the grand temple within five years. Shah also accused the Naveen Patnaik government of attempting to hinder the state's participation in the Ram Lalla celebrations, warning that the people of Odisha do not forget such actions.

Shah praised PM Modi's government for its efforts in ensuring national security by combating terrorism and naxalism over the past decade. He contrasted this with the frequent bomb blasts during the Congress rule, stating that under PM Modi's leadership, there has been a significant reversal in the security situation, including in Odisha.
