SOA Founder President honors Prof. Ashok Mahapatra after Padma Shri award

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Mahapatra, a renowned neurosurgeon and currently the Principal Advisor (Health Sciences) at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), was recently felicitated by SOA Founder President, Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, in recognition of his being awarded the Padma Shri by the central government.
Prof. (Dr.) Mahapatra has made significant contributions to the field of healthcare, having previously headed the Neurosurgery Department at AIIMS, New Delhi, and served as the first Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as the Vice-Chancellor of SOA.
In a heartfelt address, Prof. (Dr.) Nayak congratulated Prof. (Dr.) Mahapatra for receiving the prestigious honor and acknowledged his exceptional contribution to the nation’s healthcare sector. The event was attended by several dignitaries from SOA, including Prof. (Dr.) Prasenjeet Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Student’s Welfare); Prof. Ayaskanta Mohanty, Dean, Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS); and Prof. Manoranjan Das, Associate Dean, IBCS.
