The visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India, highlighting their strong historical, cultural, and economic ties. Over the years, this relationship has grown into a strategic partnership that spans trade, defense, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Singapore remains one of India’s largest sources of foreign direct investment (FDI), while Indian companies have established a significant presence in Singapore across sectors such as IT, banking, and manufacturing.
