OSRTC adds four new buses to facilitate pilgrimage to Prayagraj

Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: In a bid to accommodate the influx of devotees, the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has added four new buses to its existing fleet for travel to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
This decision comes in response to the increased demand from those wishing to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. According to sources within the Corporation, the additional buses will depart from various locations throughout the state, reflecting a significant rise in interest for bus travel due to its comfort and lower fares compared to flights and trains.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi virtually inaugurated the OSRTC bus services to Prayagraj from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur during a ceremony at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. He noted that over 200 people from Odisha had already begun their journey to the Maha Kumbh Mela, highlighting that women would receive a 50% discount on ticket fares.
The new buses will offer both sleeper and seater options with generous legroom, along with ultra-premium amenities, including mobile charging ports, ensuring maximum comfort for passengers during their journey.
