Ollywood feud escalates outside Bhubaneswar DCP office
Bhubaneswar, Nov 22: A heated verbal exchange between Ollywood director Bobby Islam and actor Manoj Mishra erupted into chaos outside the Bhubaneswar DCP office on Friday.
The duo, embroiled in an ongoing dispute, had been summoned to resolve their differences amicably. However, the meeting took a dramatic turn when Mishra allegedly threatened and attempted to assault Islam and another director, Jyoti Das, present at the scene.
The feud, marked by accusations on social media, began earlier this week when Islam filed a complaint with Cuttack’s Dargah Bazaar police, claiming he had received death threats linked to Mishra. In response, Mishra lodged a counter-complaint with Chandrasekharpur police.
During their meeting with Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra, tensions flared, leading to a physical altercation. Police intervened to separate the parties. Mishra later apologized, stating he had lost his temper but maintained that Islam’s personal attacks provoked him.
Meanwhile, Islam and Das accused Mishra of acting like a "real-life villain" while criticizing his behavior as unprofessional.
