Odisha to disburse 4th phase funds of Subhadra Yojana in January 2025
Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: The Odisha government has announced plans to distribute the fourth phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana in January 2025.
During a press briefing on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida stated that more than 20 lakh beneficiaries will receive financial support through the Subhadra Yojana next month. She explained that the delay in disbursing the fourth phase of funds is due to issues with document verification. “We have set December 30 as the deadline for document verification, and once this is completed, we aim to disburse the funds in January,” Parida noted.
When asked about the inclusion of all women from the Bonda tribe in the Subhadra scheme, she reported that over 12,000 women from the community have applied for assistance, with 9,000 having already received their first installment. However, 3,000 beneficiaries are still awaiting their initial payments.
The government had initially planned to release the fourth phase of funds on December 25, but this was postponed to allow for ongoing document verification.
To date, approximately 80 lakh women have benefited from this flagship program of the Mohan Majhi government.
